Follow these tips to beat the queues and speed your way from the check-in desk to the departure gate.

| HOW TO GET THROUGH AIRPORT CHECK-IN QUICKLY |
Before you leave home- Check in online if you can. Most airlines open this facility 24 hours before departure and some allow you to print out your boarding pass,too.
As soon as you reach the airport- Go to a self service kiosk (if there is one) and pick up your boarding pass if need be. Queues are usually shorter than at the check-in desk.
Travel with hand luggage only-To avoid the queues at baggage check-in. Be sure that your bag is small enough: most airlines specify a maximum 56 x 45 x 25 cm, including handles, wheels and pockets, but check your airline's own specific rules. Make sure you're aware of and follow any restrictions on objects or liquids that aren't allowed in the cabin.
